How to get good answers

  • Run it anonymously with no team field small enough to identify anyone. In a company of thirty, "which department" is a name.
  • Use a neutral sender. A survey about leadership that arrives from leadership gets leadership's answers.
  • Publish the results, including the uncomfortable ones. Hiding them proves the point people were making.
  • Say what you will change within two weeks of closing it. Silence after this particular survey costs more than never running it.
