Who it's for

Primary and secondary schools. Run it once a year, in every year group.

Who answers

Parents, anonymously, in three minutes. Most of them judge the school through what their child says at home.

What you'll see

• What the child says about school at home, which is the school parents actually see
• Whether the child feels safe, asked directly
• Whether parents would come to you if something happened, which tells you how much trust there is
• How well communication works, and how easy it is to get involved

How to get good answers

• Keep it anonymous and avoid asking for the class. In a single-form year group, the class is the child's name.
• Send it in the middle of the year, not in June. Answers in the last week are a farewell, not feedback.
• The question about coming to you with a problem is the one to read first. A low score there means everything else is being reported to you selectively.
• Share what you changed. Parents answer next year based entirely on whether anything happened this year.
