How to get good answers

  • Run it mid-year, not at the end. A survey in the final week reaches only the students who stayed.
  • Ask about administration explicitly. Most people who drop out leave over timetables, forms and being passed around, not over the teaching.
  • Keep it anonymous with no course or year field in small faculties. Two filters can identify a single student.
  • Read the workload question next to the faculty. A workload problem in one faculty is a timetable; across all of them it is a design problem.
