1. Onoway Community Hall

Repairs and upgrades to Onoway Community Hall, including new carpet and the installation of energy efficient lighting.

The Onoway Community Hall was rebuilt in 1967 with the help of volunteers and funding from the provincial government. Initially the hall was operated and maintained by the Elks and the Royal Purple and once these groups dissolved, a non-profit society named 0noway Facility Enhancement Association (OFEA) was formed.

The OFEA has been made up by volunteers from the community. In the last three years, a small group of volunteers have worked very hard to raise funds to do much needed upgrades to the hall such as interior painting, basement washroom upgrade and currently completing exterior work, Unfortunately, a result of the above mentioned renovations has led to the discovery of further unplanned repairs that are required and unbudgeted.

The completion of the above-mentioned projects will extend the life of the hall and certainly make it more appealing to rent and wilt continue to be a pillar for the community for years to come.

2. Community Art Project - Entwistle Hall

The Entwistle Hall proposes a project that engages youth, brightens our community and meets practical needs. We will hire an artist to paint a mural of local flora and fauna and host a mural workshop with young artists. We will also update the exterior in practical ways to make our hall safer and more inviting. Our goal is to create space for young artists to feel valued, attract younger members to the hall and renew the spirit of our community hall through visual engagement.

3. Onoway and District Heritage Society

Repair the main stage used for heritage days and host Heritage Days free of charge to residents of the Onoway and Lac Ste Anne area.
