How does the use of online dating apps influence self-presentation, and what roles do gender norms play in shaping these behaviors?

Hi, my name is [INTERVIEWER'S FULL NAME]. I'm working with a research team at the University of Wyoming. We are interviewing University undergraduates to learn more about self-presentation in online dating and how societal gender norms may impact the presentation of self. The interview will consist of two sessions, a one-on-one in-depth interview followed by a focus group where participants will be broken into four groups of 5-8.  The one-on-one interview will range from 30-45 minutes, with the focus group lasting a similar duration. Totaling 60-90 minutes of participants' time. You may choose not to participate. If you do decide to participate and find that at any moment you are uncomfortable, you can exit the interview at any moment. All responses will be kept strictly confidential and used only for research purposes. Your name will not be attached to any research reports. We also understand your time is valuable, and all participants will be given a $20 gift card to Amazon.
