Post-Test for Vocabulary Acquisition using Duolingo

Purpose of the Test:

This post-test is designed to measure the vocabulary gains of Algerian EFL learners after one week of using the Duolingo app. The vocabulary items are aligned with the beginner-level content of Duolingo. The results will evaluate the app's effectiveness in promoting vocabulary acquisition.

Participants:

10 to 15 Algerian EFL learners, selected through purposive sampling, who used Duolingo for a minimum of 15 minutes daily over one week.

Test Structure:

- Section A: Receptive Vocabulary (Multiple Choice Questions)

- Section B: Productive Vocabulary (Fill in the Blanks)

- Total Score: 30 points (20 receptive, 10 productive)

Administration:

This test is administered after the one-week Duolingo intervention. Each session lasts approximately 3 minutes.

الغرض من الاختبار:


صُمم هذا الاختبار اللاحق لقياس اكتساب متعلمي اللغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية الجزائريين للمفردات بعد أسبوع واحد من استخدام تطبيق دوولينجو. تتوافق عناصر المفردات مع محتوى دوولينجو للمبتدئين. ستُقيّم النتائج فعالية التطبيق في تعزيز اكتساب المفردات.


المشاركون:


من ١٠ إلى ١٥ متعلمًا جزائريًا للغة الإنجليزية كلغة أجنبية، تم اختيارهم من خلال عينة عشوائية، والذين استخدموا دوولينجو لمدة ١٥ دقيقة على الأقل يوميًا على مدار أسبوع.


هيكل الاختبار:


- القسم أ: المفردات الاستقبالية (أسئلة اختيار من متعدد)


- القسم ب: المفردات الإنتاجية (املأ الفراغات)


- الدرجة الإجمالية: ٣٠ نقطة (٢٠ نقطة استقبالية، ١٠ نقاط إنتاجية)


الإدارة:


يُجرى هذا الاختبار بعد أسبوع من استخدام دوولينجو. مدة كل جلسة حوالي ٣ دقائق.
