Welcome to the 2021 installment of one of Rhode Island Movie Corner's most prominent traditions, the annual 'End of Summer Fan Poll' where you, the readers, get to vote on your favorite new releases from this past summer. I couldn't be more excited to be bringing this back after the events of 2020 forced me to have to cancel that year's event. But now the time has come to highlight the biggest cinematic hits from the summer of 2021.
(Disclaimer: We here at Rhode Island Movie Corner recognize that, due to the continued effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, not everyone has been willing to see films in the theater. While we are not holding that against anyone given the circumstances, it should be noted that this poll will only be focusing on films that got a theatrical release and will not be accepting any write-in answers for films that were solely released via streaming services or On-Demand. However, if you saw any of these films at home given that several of them were released in theaters AND via their studios' respective streaming services, then it's perfectly fine to vote for them here.)
