Otome Games refer to video games which focus on a romance between a woman and one or more possible male suitors.

As a part of my bachelor thesis, I'm conducting a survey to find out how players feel about platonic, familial and romantic relationships between female characters in Otome Games to figure out whether a rivalry between the player character and female NPCs is important or necessary and what impact said rivalry has.
