On Thursday 27th February there is a combined event of a Business Breakfast for the students in Year 6, and a Careers day for the students of Year 9. This is the first time that we have held these events officially as a school, and it presents a great opportunity to get students acquainted with the career pathways they could pursue, and how decisions they make will affect them later on. The event will start with the Year 6 business breakfast at 9:00, ending at 10:40. Within this topics covered will be different roles within a business, and how students decisions all through school affect them when they come to apply for a job. Following this, from 11:00 through to 2:10, with lunch included, is the Year 9 careers day, which will include presentations from businesses about the work environment and transferrable skills from school, followed by a Dragon's Den style activity which sees students form a business plan and pitch it.
