What is your biggest problem about pests around the chickens?

This is part of my NEA Project - the theme of my project is about chickens, and to keep pests, such as Rats, Squirrels and little birds, away from accessories for the chickens and to keep them away.

Rats, Squirrels, little birds and other pests are eating the chickens food

Rats, Squirrels, little birds and other pests are passing germs on to my chickens

How does your current feeder work and what is the characteristics of the feeder?

The feeder which you are using currently

It is open topped, open enough for pests to have full access to the food

It is waterproof so it can go outside as well as inside

It is quite big and takes a lot of volume of food, so I don't have to refill it as often

It is quite small and doesn't take much volume of food, so I have to refill it often

When the chicken stands on a plate, it would lift up a flap to give the chicken access

It will be hanging from a tree at a certain height so the pests can't reach
