Dillema: would you be in favor of a longer prison sentence for inmates, or would you be in favour of a rehabilitation process

A debate that came forth was if the prison sentences in the Netherlands are too short and too light compared to the severity of the crimes that are being commited. On the other hand rehabilitation is known to help prisoners get back in society and to live on their own, rehabilitation also reduces reoffender rater. If you want to elaborate your opinion please do so in the next question!
