Purpose of Study:
You are being asked to take part in a research study about the possible relationship between violent video game play and self-reported aggression levels among young adults. The purpose of this study is to examine whether individuals who play violent video games more frequently report higher levels of aggression compared to those who play non-violent or fewer video games.
Study Procedures
If you agree to participate, you will complete an anonymous online survey that will take approximately 5–10 minutes. The survey will ask about your demographic background (age, gender), video game habits, and your attitudes and feelings related to anger and aggression. You may skip any question you prefer not to answer. No audio or video recordings will be made.
Risks
There are no known physical or psychological risks associated with this study. However, some questions about aggression or emotions may cause mild discomfort. You may stop the survey at any time without penalty or consequence.
Benefits
There will be no direct benefit to you for participating in this study. However, your responses may help researchers better understand how exposure to violent video games relates to aggression and contribute to psychological research and public understanding of media effects.
