my name is Jan Nesvadba and I am a 4th year student of the bachelor's degree in Fire protection and Industrial safety at the Faculty of safety engineering, VSB - TU of Ostrava, Czech Republic. I am currently working on my bachelor thesis on the topic "Proposal Solution for the Possibility of Entering a Building not Equipped with a Fire Protection Key Safe with a General Key", which focuses on the issue of buildings that, whether for legislative or normative reasons, may not be equipped with a system or equipment allowing non-violent entry for firefighters in the context of an intervention. Today's times often require increased building security, which then leads to complications and possibly unnecessary property damage in the event of a fire or other events requiring firefighters.

The aim of this questionnaire is to find out what technologies are used in your country or in other foreign countries, from which the Fire rescue service of the Czech republic could draw inspiration and improve the conditions for firefighters' intervention activities.

In the Czech Republic, we are governed by standards and other legislative regulations that require us to equip selected buildings with electronic fire alarm system. A common part of this system is a Fire Protection Key Safe with a General Key, which allows firefighters to enter quickly and non-violently in the event of a fire. However, current practice points to increasing cases of building fires that did not have an electrical fire alarm system and a Fire Protection Key Safe with General Key, and forced entry into the building created a time delay in saving lives.
