A person's daughter struggled with her mental health and was receiving support from mental health services. Unfortunately, the daughter had been suicidal and ended her own life. The person had supported her daughter throughout her life to the best of her abilities. The day before the daughter completed suicide, the person was with her during a crisis after she had contacted the mental health team. However, after a short period, the person was asked to leave by her daughter so she could speak with the mental health team in private. During the intervention, it was arranged for a psychiatrist to call the next morning at the daughter's house. The person waited for a call from her daughter after her meeting with the mental health team but never received one. The person considered contacting her daughter but decided against it as the meeting had been late in the evening. In previous meetings the daughter had been prescribed medication to help her sleep and she did not want to wake her. The person messaged and called her daughter the next morning several times to check on her, but she never responded. Later that day, the person found out her daughter had completed suicide.
