The masterclass is presented as part of a pilot collaboration between De Pont and Draaimolen, prior to the performance of Eli Keszler in the exhibition space of the museum on Thursday, 5 March. The lecture will take place this Wednesday from 14:00 to 15:00 in the auditorium of De Pont Museum.
Eli Keszler is a New York-based sound and visual artist, composer, and percussionist that bridges the realms of avant-garde jazz and electronica. What makes his works stand out is their site-specificity in both physical and cultural spaces. Taking music as a launching point, Eli Keszler works directly with environments, their modifications, and the situations which these environments produce. In this lecture, the artist will walk you through his creative processes centered around the concepts of composition, installation and contemporary music.
