62nd Georgia State Meeting Recommendation Vote

The following rational was submitted by Bro. Steven Morris from the Psi Omega Chapter in Augusta, Georgia. During the Immediate Past Administration, under the leadership of the 18th Georgia State Representative, the Georgia State Hall of Fame was established to honor brothers who have made significant contributions to the State of Georgia, both fraternally and civically. This initiative was intended to serve as an alternative to naming meetings or events after individual brothers. To date, two classes have been inducted into the Hall of Fame (2022 and 2024), with inductions taking place every other year. Despite this intent, during last year's meeting, a recommendation was submitted to name the Talent Hunt after a brother. In order to uphold the original purpose of the Hall of Fame and avoid future recommendations of this nature, I propose that we formally vote to eliminate the practice of naming meetings or events after individual brothers altogether.
