aim?
In this research we are interested how different experiences like substance use (especially psychedelics), introspection, mystical-type experiences, quality of life and depression influences orientations to happiness.
This research is conducted by an interdisciplinary team at the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj-Napoca, that reunites clinical psychologists, psychotherapists, cognitive scientists and theologians.
who can take part?
Anyone who is over 18 years old and has good english reading comprehension
why?
There has been a recent surge of research done to support that psychedelic substances may be an effective medicine in treating PTSD, social anxiety, substance use disorder. However, there seems to be missing literature on the effects that psychedelic substances have on positive psychology.
what does it involve?
Filling in one set of questionnaires, taking around 15 minutes
We will ask you to report information on your experience with altered states of consciousness or substance use. You may feel uncomfortable when responding to some of the questions about your experience, these feelings typically go away on their own. You may skip any question you do not want answer.
benefits/risks?
Unfortunately, we cannot provide any rewards, however we can provide a personalized report with your results.
The primary risk of your participation in this study is a breach of confidentiality, though steps have been taken to reduce this risk. For instance, we will not ask you to report your name/adress on any of the data we collect.
You can abandon the study at any moment without any risks.
