Evaluation of use and feedback to governance of IT

Dear Responder,

Business and IT transformations are one of our times’ differentiators. It has shown potential to create good as well as revealed flaws of its application. Governance of IT is a method of addressing and resolving this dilemma. Therefor we would like to collect a broad view of governance of IT and its current and potential future use as background for our standardization work in the ISO/IEC/JTC1/SC40/Working Group 1.

The ISO/IEC 38500 ‘Governance of IT’ family of standards aims to provide guidance to governing bodies of all types of organizations when evaluating, directing and monitoring the acceptable use of information technology (IT) in their organizations.

With this survey we would like your input on

• What should the key objective of governance of IT be?
• What are the most important subjects of governance of IT?
• How should future areas of work be prioritized?
