The purpose of this survey is to assess interest in pursuing a class action lawsuit against pharmaceutical companies, physicians, and therapists who contributed to physical and/or emotional harm of patients through use of cross sex hormones, talk therapy, etc.
I would like to gather information to present to medical maltpractice attorneys to see if we have a compelling case. I know that AbbVie Pharmaceuticals just paid out settlement to men who were harmed by Androgel, setting an important precedent. I believe there is a strong case against pharmaceutical companies for damages caused by cross sex hormones. I believe there is also a strong case to be made against the psychiatric / therapuetic governing bodies who have put inadequate guidance in place.
Information will be collected anonymously, using psuedonyms. I recommend creating a separate email address for this survey, as we know detransitioners and people researching detransition are frequently harrassed.
My plan is to enter the data into a sortable spreadsheet so I can get an idea of how many people were affected and in what ways, look for overlapping points, and ask the attorneys to figure out which angles to pursue.
Your medical records may be helpful in filling out this survey, but if you don't have them, just fill out as much as you are comfortable sharing. I do recommend that you request a copy of your complete records for your own purposes.
Please note: I AM NOT A LAWYER, I am just a woman who thought she was transgender for a year, following a mental health breakdown that left me in a dissossiative state. My doctor and therapist allowed me to self-diagnose and begin testosterone injections right away. I now have a teenage daughter who identifies as trans after receiving treatment at the same clinic.
(This is a only preliminary survey, because I am eager to get started as soon as possible. If I get a lot of responses, I may create additional surveys to make it easier to sort the data).
