Question type detail
A star rating question allows respondents to rate something on a visual star scale (typically 1–5). It provides a quick and intuitive measure of satisfaction. Within the question settings, you can set up to 10 stars.
As every question type, can be set as mandatory or optional.
How to use it
• Define the meaning of each star level.
• Use 5-star or 10-star scales depending on detail needed.
• Add a short label like “Rate your experience.”
When to use it
• “How would you rate our customer support?”
• “Rate the quality of the product.”
• “How likely are you to reorder?”
How to evaluate
Star ratings are evaluated using averages and distribution graphs. Reports show the mean rating (e.g., 4.3/5) and visual breakdowns by star level, helping you measure satisfaction quickly.
Each question type has various options of graph interpretation in Survio analytics. Besides summary statistics via graphs, individual responses can be downloaded from the platform for further analysis.
