Your survey welcome page settings

Every survey includes a welcome page by default. Learn what it's for, how to use its text elements, and how to disable it when you don't need it.

Your survey welcome page

Every Survio survey starts with a welcome page. It is the first thing your respondents see before they begin answering. The welcome page is included by default on all plans — you don't need to add it, and you can disable it whenever you like.

What the welcome page is for

The welcome page lets you greet respondents and set the right expectations before they start. You can edit its custom text elements — such as the survey title and a description — to:

  • Welcome respondents and explain the purpose of the survey.

  • Tell them roughly how long it will take and how their answers will be used.

  • Add any instructions or context that helps them give better answers.

A clear, friendly welcome page helps build trust and can increase your response rate.

Disabling the welcome page

If you don't need a welcome screen, you can disable the welcome page so respondents go straight to the first question.

When is it a good idea to disable the welcome page?

  • When your survey is embedded directly into a website and the surrounding page already provides the context.

  • When you need quick feedback and want to remove any extra step before the first question.

Note

Using and disabling the welcome page is available on all plans, free included. The only paid element on the welcome page is adding your logo (which also applies to the survey itself). Visit our pricing menu to see which plans include logo branding.
