Filters and segmentation

Filtering the results enables an option to create a specific segments for data monitoring or comparison. Filer base on answers, date and more

You can apply filters to view specific segments of your survey results, such as comparing responses from men and women, departments, products and more.

To apply filters:

  1. Go to Results of your survey

  2. Click +Create a filter.

You can filter results by:

  • Answers to one or more questions

  • Responses from a specific date or date range

  • Surveys completed in less/more than a specified amount of time

  • Completed, discarded, or partially completed surveys

  • Source (e-mail invitation, direct link, social media, etc.)

  • URL Parameters

You can combine multiple filters to further narrow down results, such as filtering feedback from a particular office branch, or you can narrow it even further down to only see negative/average feedback directed at a particular branch.

Filtering results is a premium feature. To use filters, you need to subscribe to paid plan.

PRO Business customers can apply more than 1 filter.

Filtering URL Parameters

If you use URL parameters (link variables) on your survey, you can filter your results by the parameter values that were captured with each response. This lets you isolate or compare responses tied to a specific customer, project, region, campaign, or any custom identifier you passed in the URL.

To filter by a URL parameter value:

  1. Select URL parameters from filter options

  2. In the filter type, select your URL parameter name and enter the value you want to filter by - for example customer=AcmeCorp or OrderID=2356489

  3. Apply the filter to view only responses that came in with that parameter value

You can combine URL parameter filters with other filters (answers, date, source, completion status) to drill down further — for example, all negative CSAT responses from customer=AcmeCorp between July 1 and July 31.
