Basic survey settings

Guide to options in terms of your survey settings.

Updated this week

Within the survey builder, you can set various options such as survey deadline, preventing multiple survey submissions, and much more.

Below you can find a details about each option

Basic Settings

Question auto scroll

Toggle on/off. If enabled, the survey will automatically jump to the next question once the previous one has been answered.

Return to previous questions

Toggle on/off. This setting determines whether respondents can go back and edit a previously answered question.

Question numbers

Show/hide question numbers in the survey.

Survey language

Change the language of messages and buttons in the survey. This is useful if you need to distribute the survey in different countries.

Share settings (Accessible via Get Responses menu): When creating surveys, it’s important to understand how they may appear on Google and what options are available to control their visibility and access. Consider using features like password protection or upgrading to higher-tier plans to manage privacy and accessibility effectively.

Enable survey

Toggle on/off to control whether the survey is live and collecting responses.

Survey availability

Set a deadline for when your survey will automatically close for answer collection.

Duplicate prevention

Choose yes/no to allow or prevent respondents from submitting multiple responses.

Email notifications

Toggle on/off to receive email notifications as responses come in.

Website redirect

A premium feature that redirects all respondents to your e-shop, website, or blog after survey submission. Use this to offer discounts, say a personal thank you, or reward respondents for their time and effort.

Allow indexing

Requires a Pro Business subscription. Indexing is on by default. Only the link to your survey (the survey itself) can appear in Google search results. This means that if someone searches for your survey or related keywords, they may find the link to access it. However, the survey’s responses, analysis, and any personal contact details are not indexed by search engines.

Password protection In the survey settings, you can enable password protection. When this feature is activated, only users with the password can access the survey. This ensures that even if the survey link appears on Google, it will not grant open access to the survey.

Protect your survey with a password. Do not forget to share password to your respondents in case you protext the survey with it.
