Question type detail

Point distribution questions let respondents allocate a fixed number of points among several options to indicate relative importance.

As every question type, can be set as mandatory or optional.

How to use it

• Set a total number of points to distribute (e.g., 100).

• Add multiple options representing priorities or preferences.

• Ensure the total equals the specified number before submission.

When to use it

• “Distribute 100 points among features based on importance.”

• “Allocate points to budget categories.”

• “Assign points to marketing channels.”

How to evaluate

Evaluation is done by calculating the average number of points given to each option. The report displays these averages as bar charts, revealing the most and least prioritized options.

Each question type has various options of graph interpretation in Survio analytics. Besides summary statistics via graphs, individual responses can be downloaded from the platform for further analysis.
