Question type detail
A ranking question lets respondents order items by priority or preference. It helps you understand what matters most to your audience.
As every question type, can be set as mandatory or optional.
How to use it
• Add several options for respondents to rank.
• Enable drag-and-drop ranking for easier interaction.
• Keep the list concise (5–7 items recommended).
When to use it
• “Rank these features by importance.”
• “Order these marketing channels by effectiveness.”
• “Which benefits are most valuable to you?”
How to evaluate
Ranking results are evaluated by calculating the average position of each item. The most preferred options appear at the top. Reports display bar charts or tables showing the order of preferences.
Each question type has various options of graph interpretation in Survio analytics. Besides summary statistics via graphs, individual responses can be downloaded from the platform for further analysis.
