Survio offers various types of plans. Due to dynamic changes of plans and its limits in Survio history, you may be still holding an old plan with old limit and function setup.
We continue with migration of customers to most up to date plans, yet some of customers can still hold an old setup. This does not reflect the functionality of limits setup.
Below, we will explain how limits works.
Each plan have an allocated amount of responses you can collect during the month. The counter is always reset on first day of the month.
Example with FREE plan (as of February 2026)
Limit is set to 50 responses per month.
This means you can collect up to 50 responses in given month.
Only full survey submission is count. It does not matter how many questions and answers the survey has.
1 response = 1 full survey submission.
In case you have multiple active surveys, we count always the first 50 responses submitted across all surveys.
If you collect 90 responses in 1 survey and 30 responses in second survey:
We count to the limit first 50 responses collected across both surveys.
Meaning, if you collect (in time order) in first survey a 40 responses in first survey, then 30 responses in second and again 50 responses in first survey, you will:
See all responses in survey 1 (30)
See only 20 responses in survey 2
Will not see 50 responses in survey 1
Logic of response counting described above (Free plan example) applies also to paid plans.
Frequently asked questions
What if I collect more than 50 responses?
Survey still works, collect responses. You can see only first 50 responses. You can always unlock all responses by upgrading to higher plan. This apply not only for Free plan but also for paid plans.
How are responses count if I have more surveys active?
Responses are count across all survey in time order. If you have Free limit for example, first 50 responses are counted to the limit across all surveys. Meaning in case one survey collects responses faster than other and you reach the limit, additional responses above 50 will not be displayed until higher plan is purchased.
Does deleting responses free the space of response limit?
No. Every submitted response is count. If you delete the response, it will not lower the number of collected responses.
Can the unused responses be transferred?
It is not possible to transfer the unused responses to next month. Each month starts with a 0 no matter how many responses have been collected in previous month.
If I exceeded the limit in one month, will resposnes above the limit be available after limit reset?
No. Limits are connected to given month. In case you exceed the limit of given month, this responses will not be available after the reset. Given responses above the limit will be unavailable until unlocking them with upgrade to higher plan.
Does survey view or not fully submitted survey count?
Only fully submitted surveys does count. Viewed survey or unfinished survey does not count to the counter. Also Survio does not offer option to see unfinished survey submission. Each respondent has to submit the survey to view the results, as with submitting the survey, respondent giving you consent to view responses.
